Puppeteers of America

Puppeteers of America award grants to puppet artists, publishes a quarterly magazine called The Puppetry Journal, and hosts the biannual National Puppetry Festival.



UNIMA is the international organization for puppet artists. They offer granting opportunities and give out awards annually.

The Center for Puppetry Arts is a puppetry museum and education center in Atlanta, GA.


The O'Neill National Puppetry Conference

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Waterford, CT hosts the National Puppetry Conference each June. This educational intensive includes classes in puppetry performance, construction, writing, and theory.

The University of Connecticut

The University of Connecticut offers bachelors and masters programs in puppetry arts. It also houses the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry which hosts workshops and events.
